The eSSL SP-2 Serial Thermal Printer with Adapter is a compact 58mm thermal line printer designed for thermal printing applications in business and biometric attendance environments. Supporting 203 DPI (8 dots/mm) resolution, 70mm/sec print speed, and a 75 km printer core life, the eSSL SP-2 is suitable for printing text, images, barcodes, and QR codes. Equipped with an RS232 serial interface and ESC/POS compatible command support, the printer also includes Windows SDK and Linux Driver support for integration with compatible software applications.
The eSSL SP-2 supports printing of English text, alphanumeric characters, symbols, regional languages, images, barcodes, and QR codes. Supported barcode formats include UPC-A, UPC-E, JAN13, JAN8, CODE39, ITF, CODABAR, CODE93, and CODE128. The printer features Drop-In Easy Loading for convenient paper replacement and supports 58mm paper width with 55–75 GSM paper thickness. Built-in functions include paper detection, platen detection, head temperature detection, power auto-off control, manual turn off, buzzer, and LED indications for operational monitoring.
eSSL SP-2 is constructed with a fire-resistant ABS plastic body and weighing 250 grams, the eSSL SP-2 uses a manual paper cutting mechanism and is supplied with a power adapter, USB to DB9 cable, CD, paper roll, and belt clip as standard accessories. Operating within temperatures from 10°C to 50°C and humidity levels of 10% to 90%, and supporting storage temperatures from -20°C to 70°C with 5% to 95% humidity, the eSSL SP-2 is designed for indoor thermal printing applications.
