The product is stable and good, no need of separate ONT with this XPON Router. The signal strength is decent, and the product works well with GTPL KCBPL fiber connection. This also supports mesh networking.

Perfect condition and working as expected. Nicely packed and delivered. I received the last manufactured product as I requested from the customer support. Coming to ONU, I don't see any performance issue in terms of speed.

However, there was one issue that I came across, when we plug in the ONU for the first time, it will ask to create new password, do not use any special characters like @#*, if you do, this will accept the as new password, however it will throw an incorrect password error at the time of login. If this happens, you need to reset the ONU using pinhole on the back. Instead just try a combination of letters and numbers and you are good to go. This seems to be an issue from TP Link firmware in the ONU.

Also, ₹1.1 is good price compared to other online marketplace. I'm happy with it.

The unit stopped working within 1 hour. TP-Link RMA is painful and they now want to repair the (brand new unit). Avoid TP-Link where possible.

The ISP (excitel) provided router sucks big time. Apart from Wifi AP configuration it practically has no other feature.

As for the TP-Link Archer AX12 router - I bought it primarily for the Parental control capability.
I have configured Archer AX12 as the primary router for WiFi and wired LAN access and hooked it to the ISP router.
ISP router now works as a simple modem.
Works like a charm. Parental control schedules are cool too.

Surprise - the latest firmware update has VPN client support too 🙂
