The Lexar SL500 1TB Portable SSD with Magnetic Set is a high-speed external solid-state drive designed for portable storage, mobile content capture, and fast data transfer using a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface.
It delivers sequential read speeds of up to 2000MB/s and write speeds of up to 1800MB/s when connected to compatible host devices. The 1TB capacity supports high-resolution video recording, photography, and large project files.
The included magnetic set allows the drive to magnetically attach to supported smartphones, laptops, or device cases. The package includes a magnetic rubber case, metal magnetic ring, wrist strap, and USB Type-C to Type-C cable.
The drive supports direct recording for Apple ProRes and compatible Samsung smartphones, enabling external video capture at manufacturer-specified resolutions and frame rates when used with supported devices.
The aluminum unibody SSD features thermal control design for sustained performance and is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, with drop resistance up to 2 meters under manufacturer test conditions.
For data protection, the SL500 includes Lexar DataShield™ software supporting 256-bit AES encryption. The portable SSD and magnetic set carry separate warranty periods as specified by the manufacturer.
