The Mimosa C6x Lite Edition is a purpose-built fixed wireless CPE that delivers exceptional value for service providers, enterprises, and rural broadband deployments. As the latest addition to Mimosa’s value-focused lineup, the C6x LE balances performance, durability, and affordability, making it the ideal workhorse for scalable connectivity in challenging outdoor environments.
Exceptional Wireless Performance
The Mimosa C6x Lite Edition achieves up to 1.0 Gbps IP aggregate throughput in Point-to-Point backhaul mode and 750 Mbps in Point-to-Multipoint client mode (1200 Mbps PHY). Mimosa C6x Lite Edition is operating on 20/40/80 MHz channels tunable in 5 MHz increments across the 5 GHz band (5150–6425 MHz, subject to local regulations), it adapts to diverse deployment scenarios. The radio supports 2×2 MU-MIMO with modulation from BPSK to 1024QAM, and future firmware updates will add OFDMA for even greater spectral efficiency in dense environments .
Purpose-Built for Cost-Effective Deployment
Mimosa C6x Lite EditionMimosa C6x Lite Edition has a streamlined 80 MHz channel operation and adaptable range options allow the C6x LE to serve both short-to-long range links. With a maximum output power of 27 dBm and excellent Rx sensitivity (down to -96 dBm at 20 MHz), it maintains robust links even in challenging conditions. The unit features a Mimosa N5-X twist-on RF connector for easy antenna attachment .
Rugged, All-Weather Construction
Encased in a die-cast aluminum housing with UV-stabilized paint and an outdoor UV-stable plastic radome lens, the C6x LE carries an IP67 ingress protection rating—fully sealed against dust and temporary immersion. It operates in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +55°C, withstands condensing humidity, and complies with ETS 300-019-2-4 shock and vibration standards, ensuring reliability in harsh outdoor environments .
Smart Spectrum Management & Security
Built-in active scan technology continuously monitors RF interference across all channels without service impact, allowing dynamic auto-optimization of channel and bandwidth to maintain peak performance. Security features include AES encryption, RADIUS authentication, and future support for 802.1x authorization. The device also supports WMM for QoS and management VLAN tagging .
Simplified Power & Connectivity
A single Gigabit Ethernet port (10/100/1000-BASE-T) provides both data and power via 24V passive PoE (injector sold separately, recommended model 502-00030 or compatible 24V 30W injector). Maximum power consumption is 20W. The unit includes a ground lug for proper electrical grounding per safety standards (EN 62638-1) .
Management & Deployment
The Mimosa C6x Lite Edition is managed through an intuitive HTML5-based web GUI, SNMPv2c/v3, Syslog, and Mimosa’s cloud-based MMP management platform. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, VLAN tagging (including Q-in-Q future release), and per-client VLAN for PTMP deployments. The dual-pole strap-capable mounting system simplifies installation on poles or towers.
Regulatory Compliance
Approved for use in multiple regions, the C6x LE meets FCC Part 15.407, IC RSS210, CE (RED, EMCD, VLD, RoHS), and ETSI 301 893/302 502 standards. It is RoHS compliant and safety-certified to EN 62638-1.
Ideal for WISPs expanding coverage, enterprises connecting remote sites, or rural broadband initiatives, the Mimosa C6x Lite Edition offers unbeatable value without compromising on performance or durability.
Why Choose the C6x LE?
The C6x Lite Edition hits the sweet spot for operators who need real gigabit-class performance at a price point that makes large-scale rollouts financially viable. It’s the direct upgrade path from the C5x — same affordability philosophy, next-generation throughput and spectrum access.

C6x Lite Edition FAQ
What are the specifications of the C6x Lite Edition
Dimensions (175mm h x 70 mm w x 61 mm depth) 0.7 kg (1.54 lbs)
Power Consumption 20 W Max
Max Output Power 27 dBm
IP Rating IP67
Can the C6x LE base radio (8 dBi) be used without an external antenna?
Yes. The C6x Lite can operate using only its built-in 8 dBi gain for short-distance links. If running without an external antenna, remove the locking screw from the twist-on mount to allow proper drainage.
What distances are supported for C6x LE links?
This depends on the antenna size and regulatory power settings. The C6x LE and all the X-series antenna options are available in Mimosa’s Network Design Tool (NDT). It’s free and very easy to model a link, give it a try at: https://design.mimosa.co/designtool/ndt
Do the C6x LE + X-series antennas work with the Fleximount XL?
Yes, the Fleximount works for both the C6x and C6x – Lite Edition and N5-X12, N5-X16 and N5-X20 and the N5-X25 (25 dBi dish). The Fleximount XL does not work with the N5-X30kp dish.
Is the C6x Lite Edition the same radio as the C6x?
Yes. From a hardware perspective, the C6x Lite Edition is identical to the C6x. The differences are in the software-defined features and capabilities, with the Lite Edition designed as a lower-cost option with reduced throughput.
