The TP Link Archer TX20U is a Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) wireless USB adapter designed to provide high-performance wireless connectivity for desktop and laptop computers. It supports dual band operation on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, enabling flexible network access and improved performance in modern wireless environments.
On the 5 GHz band, the TP Link Archer TX20U adapter supports data rates of up to 1201 Mbps using Wi-Fi 6, with backward compatibility for 802.11ac, 802.11n, and 802.11a standards. On the 2.4 GHz band, it supports speeds of up to 574 Mbps and remains compatible with legacy 802.11n, 802.11g, and 802.11b networks. Wireless operation is supported in Infrastructure mode and is dependent on compatible access points and network conditions.
The TP Link Archer TX20U connects via a USB 3.0 interface, allowing higher data throughput compared to USB 2.0 adapters. It supports MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies to improve network efficiency when connected to compatible routers. Wireless security includes support for WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA3, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK. Installation is supported through a built-in driver, and system compatibility includes Windows 10 and Windows 11.
