CCTV installation cost in India 2026: camera, storage, and setup pricing

A basic 4-camera home CCTV installation setup in India in costs roughly Rs.8,000-15,000 for analog and Rs.15,000-30,000 for IP cameras (including NVR, hard drive, cabling, and installation). For a shop or a small office with 6-8 CCTV cameras, the cost ranges from Rs.35,000-70,000.  And if you’re looking to secure an enterprise or a large campus, which will require 24 or more CCTV units for complete coverage, the cost is upwards of Rs. 2,00,000.

The actual expense will depend on three things - how many cameras you will require, whether you go for analog or IP and how many days of footage you want to store.

Camera cost is usually 40-55% of the total expense. Analog cameras cost less and are cheaper to cable. IP cameras cost more upfront and need Cat6/PoE cabling, but provide sharper footage and are easier to view remotely. 

More no. of cameras and higher resolution exhaust storage faster. So, for the same number of recording days, a busy 8-camera setup at a shop will require a bigger storage than a 4-camera home entrance setup.

Before making the purchase, remember to ask for an itemised quote with model numbers, storage capacity, warranty terms, all in writing. Any genuine dealer will hand this over without hesitation. If you receive a substantially cheaper quote, the service provider may be cutting corners by including refurbished cameras, reducing or removing warranty, or using a desktop hard drive instead of a surveillance-grade one.
