What is the best placement for TP-Link WA850RE: Where should you plug it n?

The best place to plug in your TP-Link WA850RE is an outlet located roughly halfway between your Wi-Fi router and the room with the weak signal. It must be close enough to the router to receive a strong wireless connection, while far enough away to stretch that signal into the target area. Placing it directly inside a dead zone will cause it to fail because it cannot amplify a signal it cannot reach.

Finding the ideal spot involves a quick round of testing. The circular light ring on the front of the extender gives immediate feedback about signal strength. After plugging the unit into a central outlet, check the lights. A blue ring confirms a solid link to the main router. A red ring means the unit is placed too far away and needs to be moved closer.

You should also keep the device away from major physical obstructions. Avoid plugging it behind heavy couches, inside metallic cabinets, or near large appliances like microwaves and cordless phone bases. Open hallways or central outlets elevated off the floor give the internal antennas the best chance to broadcast an even signal.
