What is TP-Link XX530v and what type of internet connection does it support?

The TP-Link XX530v is an AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 XPON router designed for fiber broadband users in India. It supports both GPON and EPON fiber standards through its built-in PON port, which means it connects directly to your ISP's fiber line and works as both the ONT and the router in a single device. No separate ONT box needed.

It's compatible with most major Indian fiber ISPs, including BSNL FTTH, Airtel Xstream Fibre, Jio Fiber, Railtel, ACT Fibernet, and Excitel. On the wireless side, it delivers combined speeds of up to 3000 Mbps - 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz.

The XX530v isn't limited to fiber-only setups. It has an Ethernet WAN/LAN port for connecting behind an existing modem or switch over a standard Ethernet cable, and a USB 2.0 port that supports 3G/4G dongles as a backup internet source if your fiber line goes down. So you get three ways to connect - fiber (PON), wired (Ethernet), and mobile backup (USB dongle).
