The DMS-108P is an unmanaged 8-port multi-gigabit PoE switch designed to provide high-speed wired connectivity and power delivery for small office and home office networks. It enables the connection of Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit, and 2.5 Gigabit devices through auto-negotiating ports without requiring configuration.
The switch provides eight auto-negotiating 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports with support for IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt PoE standards, allowing compatible devices such as access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones to receive power and data through a single Ethernet cable. A total PoE power budget of 230 W, with support for up to 90 W per port, enables flexible deployment in locations where separate power sources are limited.
The DMS-108P uses a store-and-forward switching method with a switching capacity of 40 Gbps and a maximum packet forwarding rate of 29.76 Mpps, supporting stable data transmission across connected devices. IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service allows traffic to be prioritized, while IEEE 802.3x flow control helps minimize packet loss during periods of network congestion.
Designed for continuous operation, the switch features a metal enclosure and a fanless design that supports silent operation and effective heat dissipation. Energy-efficient technologies such as IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet and link status detection reduce power consumption when network utilization is low or when ports are inactive.
Automatic MDI/MDIX support on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables, allowing straightforward installation using standard Ethernet cabling. Front-facing LED indicators provide clear visibility of power status, link activity, and PoE operation for each port.
