The Teltonika RUTX50 Industrial 5G Router is a high-performance cellular networking solution designed for reliable internet connectivity in industrial, professional, and IoT environments. Teltonika RUTX50 it supports 5G Sub-6 GHz connectivity in both SA and NSA modes, with cellular download speeds of up to 3.3 Gbps. The router also maintains backward compatibility with 4G LTE Cat 20 and 3G networks, helping provide network flexibility across different deployment environments.
The Teltonika RUTX50 features dual SIM connectivity with automatic failover, along with optional eSIM support depending on the order code. SIM switching can be triggered by conditions such as weak signal, roaming, network unavailability, data limits, or failed data connections. Multiple PDN support, band management, APN configuration, bridge mode, passthrough, and framed routing provide additional flexibility for advanced cellular networking requirements.
For local connectivity, the router provides 5 × Gigabit Ethernet ports, including a dedicated WAN port and four LAN ports. Teltonika RUTX50 it also supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2) with data rates up to 867 Mbps, dual-band operation, MU-MIMO, fast roaming, wireless mesh, and support for up to 150 simultaneous Wi-Fi clients. Multiple wireless security options, MAC filtering, client separation, and protected management features help secure connected networks.
The RUTX50 provides extensive networking and security capabilities, including static and dynamic routing, policy-based routing, VLAN, QoS, firewall, NAT, DDNS, VPN protocols, and network failover. Teltonika RUTX50 supported VPN technologies include OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, ZeroTier, Tailscale, and others. Firewall and attack-prevention features support traffic control, port protection, and network security in demanding deployments.
For industrial and IoT applications, the router supports BACnet, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM, along with Data to Server functionality and integrations with cloud platforms such as Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, ThingWorx, and Cumulocity. GNSS support for GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS enables location tracking and geofencing applications.
The RUTX50 runs on RutOS, an OpenWrt-based Linux operating system, and supports management through Web UI, SSH, SMS, SNMP, MQTT, TR-069, JSON-RPC, FOTA, and Teltonika RMS. Teltonika RUTX50 its anodised aluminium housing, 9–50 VDC input, passive PoE capability, IP30 protection, and -40°C to 75°C operating temperature range make it suitable for a wide variety of industrial installations.
