How concrete walls affect the performance of a Tri-Band Wi-Fi router?

Concrete and brick walls which is  the standard construction in most Indian flats and houses, severely weaken the 5 GHz and 6 GHz signals that tri-band routers rely on for their fastest speeds. A single tri-band router, no matter how premium, will struggle to push a reliable high-speed signal past one or two concrete walls in a typical 3BHK or 4BHK layout.

The reason is straightforward physics: higher frequency bands deliver more speed but travel shorter distances and penetrate solid materials poorly. The 2.4 GHz band passes through walls more easily but is slower and heavily congested in Indian apartment buildings. The 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands that give tri-band routers their performance advantage are exactly the ones that concrete kills first.

The practical fix for multi-room Indian homes is a mesh Wi-Fi system rather than a single powerful router. A tri-band mesh setup is especially effective here - you place multiple nodes around the concrete barriers to blanket the home in coverage, and the system uses its extra 5 GHz or 6 GHz band as a dedicated wireless backhaul to communicate between nodes. This preserves your internet speed across the entire house instead of losing it to walls.
