What is the difference between TP-link XX530v V1 and V2?
Both versions are functionally identical - same Wi-Fi 6 speeds, same port layout, same features, same software interface. According to TP-Link, the V2 uses an updated chipset with hardware-level optimizations, but nothing that changes your day-to-day experience. You won't notice a performance difference between the two in normal use.
The one thing that matters practically is firmware. V1 and V2 use different firmware files, and flashing the wrong version can brick the router. To check which version you have, look at the label on the bottom of the router - it's printed next to the serial number as "Ver: 1.0" or "Ver: 2.0." On the TP-Link India download page (tp-link.com/in/support/download/xx530v), you'll see separate tabs for V1 and V2 - make sure you pick the right one before downloading.
If you're buying new, you'll most likely receive a V2 unit since that's what's currently in production. If you're buying secondhand or already own a V1, there's no reason to upgrade to V2 - the firmware support for V1 is still active, and TP-Link continues to release updates for both versions.
