To set up the TP-Link WA850RE in under five minutes, plug the device into an outlet near your main router, press the WPS button on your router, and immediately press the WPS button on the extender. Wait for the circular LED ring on the front to stop flashing and turn solid blue, which indicates a successful connection. Finally, unplug the extender and move it to a location halfway between your router and the dead zone.

Setting up this range extender requires minimal technical knowledge. If your router does not have a WPS button, you can complete the setup using a smartphone or laptop. Simply connect your mobile device to the default TP-Link network named "TP-Link_Extender," open a web browser, and type in the setup address printed on the back of the unit.
