Ubiquiti U7 expected India launch date and timeline

There is no officially confirmed launch date for the Ubiquiti U7 series in India as of June 2026, but based on the global rollout pattern so far and how previous Ubiquiti product generations have historically reached the Indian market, the U7 Lite, U7 Pro, and U7 Pro Max are the most likely candidates to arrive first, potentially within the next two to three months, while the remaining models in the lineup such as the U7 In-Wall, U7 Outdoor, and the enterprise-grade U7 Pro XGS will likely follow in a later phase.

Global launch timeline so far

The U7 series did not arrive all at once. Ubiquiti has been rolling out Wi-Fi 7 access points in stages over the past 18 months, starting with its flagship indoor model and expanding outward. Here is how the global rollout has played out.

January 2024: U7 Pro The U7 Pro was Ubiquiti's first Wi-Fi 7 access point, debuted at CES 2024 in January, and started shipping immediately from the US store at $189. This was the model that brought 802.11be, 6 GHz support, and a 2.5 GbE uplink into the UniFi ecosystem for the first time.

May 2024: U7 Pro Max, U7 Pro Wall, and U7 Outdoor announced Five months after the Pro launched, Ubiquiti revealed three additional Wi-Fi 7 models on May 30, 2024, expanding the U7 lineup to four devices. The Pro Max brought more MIMO streams, higher throughput, and a dedicated spectral scanning radio. The Pro Wall introduced an in-wall form factor. The Outdoor was Ubiquiti's first directional Wi-Fi 7 AP.

June 2024: U7 Outdoor ships The U7 Outdoor began shipping from the US store in mid-June 2024, though notably it lacked 6 GHz support, likely due to outdoor regulatory constraints on the band.

September 2024: U7 Pro Max ships The U7 Pro Max started shipping in September 2024, effectively replacing the original U7 Pro as the flagship indoor ceiling-mount AP. With the Pro Max taking the top spot, the U7 Pro was repositioned at a lower $159 price point.

December 2024: Enterprise E7 announced Ubiquiti announced the enterprise-class E7 in late December 2024, making it the first Wi-Fi 7 AP in the UniFi ecosystem to feature AFC (Automated Frequency Coordination).

March 2025: U7 Lite, U7 In-Wall, and U7 Pro XGS ship Ubiquiti introduced the U7 Lite and U7 In-Wall in early 2025, priced at $99 and $149 respectively, completing the Wi-Fi 7 portfolio across price tiers. The U7 Pro XGS also launched around this time with improved thermal design and a 10 Gbps uplink.

Ubiquiti took roughly 14 months (January 2024 to March 2025) to build out the full U7 lineup in its home market. None of these models have officially launched in India yet.

How has Ubiquiti historically rolled out products in India?

Ubiquiti does not publish regional launch schedules, but there is a consistent pattern. The Ubiquiti India store (in.store.ui.com) currently lists Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E products like the U6 Pro, U6 LR, and U6 Enterprise. No U7 models appear. This mirrors how previous generations rolled out: the US first, then Europe and established markets, with India arriving last.

The typical lag is 9 to 18 months after the US launch. The U6 Pro shipped in the US in late 2021 but took considerably longer to become reliably available through authorized Indian channels. High-volume models like the Lite and Pro tiers arrive first; enterprise and outdoor variants follow later.

The gating factor is WPC type approval. Every wireless device sold officially in India requires Wireless Planning & Coordination Equipment Type Approval. India formally delicensed the lower 6 GHz band (5925–6425 MHz) in January 2026, which removed the spectrum-level barrier for Wi-Fi 7 devices. But delicensing the band and approving individual device models are two separate processes. Each specific Ubiquiti access point variant still needs its own WPC ETA before it can be legally imported and sold through authorized channels. That device-level approval queue is the single biggest reason the India store lags behind the US store.

What does this mean for the India timeline?

U7 Lite, U7 Pro, and U7 Pro Max are the most likely to arrive first, potentially within two to three months. They are the highest-volume global SKUs and have been shipping in the US for over a year.

U7 In-Wall and U7 Outdoor will likely follow in a second phase due to lower volume and additional outdoor power-limit regulations.

U7 Pro XGS and E7 are enterprise-grade, lowest-volume SKUs and will probably be last, potentially 6 to 12 months after the mainstream models.

Why Ubiquiti does not pre-announce India dates?

Ubiquiti generally does not pre-announce regional availability for any market, not just India. Their approach globally has been to list products on regional storefronts only when stock is physically available for purchase. There is no waitlist, no pre-order, and no advance date announcement on the official Ubiquiti India store.

This is exactly why we at FGTech set up a notification signup. As an authorized reseller positioned in Ubiquiti's India distribution pipeline, we expect to know about incoming U7 stock before it goes live on the official storefront. Sign up on our [U7 notification page] (internal link to Q2) and we will notify you the moment stock is confirmed, with pricing and a direct purchase link.
