The Grandstream GWN7831 is an enterprise-grade Layer 3 aggregation managed switch engineered for high-speed network aggregation, scalability, and reliability in large-scale enterprise, ISP, and data center deployments. Grandstream GWN7831 provides 24 × Gigabit SFP ports, 4 × Gigabit combo ports (RJ45/SFP), and 4 × 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks, ensuring flexible deployment for high-bandwidth backbone connectivity.
Grandstream GWN7831 comes with a switching capacity of 128Gbps, non-blocking throughput of 64Gbps, and a forwarding rate of 95.2 Mpps, the GWN7831 ensures exceptional performance and low latency under 4 µs, even in demanding environments. It supports jumbo frames up to 10,240 bytes and a 12 MB packet buffer for optimized traffic handling.
Grandstream GWN7831 switch is built for scalable enterprise networking, supporting up to 4,000 VLANs, 32 link aggregation groups (LAGs), and multiple spanning tree protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP, PVST+, RPVST+). For routing, it offers static and dynamic protocols including RIP, OSPF, and OSPFv3, with policy routing support pending, making it suitable for both Layer 2 aggregation and Layer 3 core switching.
Grandstream GWN7831 also ensure reliable multicast performance, the GWN7831 supports IGMP snooping (v2/v3), MLD snooping (v1/v2), and MVR. Advanced QoS features such as port priority, traffic shaping, rate limiting, and multiple scheduling algorithms (SP, WRR, WFQ) guarantee smooth traffic prioritization for voice, video, and data.
On the security side, the switch includes ARP inspection, IP source guard, DHCP snooping, DoS protection, storm control, port isolation, 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, and TACACS+ to secure enterprise networks.
Management is flexible with Web UI, CLI (Console, SSH, Telnet), SNMP v1/v2c/v3, RMON, LLDP, and Syslog, along with support for GDMS, GWN Manager, and GWN.Cloud for centralized and cloud-based administration. With dual-fan cooling, redundant power supply options, and rack/desktop/wall mounting, the GWN7831 ensures long-term reliability and deployment flexibility.
