What is an IP camera used for?

Think of an IP camera as a smart, digital eyeball that connects to the internet. Just like your eyes see a room and send pictures to your brain, this camera looks at your house and sends a live video straight to your mom or dad’s phone!

People use them as "house guards." If a delivery truck arrives with a big box of toys, the camera sends a message saying, "Hey, someone is at the door!" Parents use them to check on sleeping babies, make sure the family dog isn't chewing up the couch, and keep a watchful eye out for any sneaky intruders. It is a tiny, tireless security guard that never takes a nap
