Can I replace my ISP router with the TP-Link xx530v? Compatibility with BSNL, Airtel, Jio, ACT Fibernet and Excitel

Yes. The xx530v has a built-in PON port that supports both GPON and EPON, so it connects directly to your fiber line without needing the ISP's router or a separate ONT. It's confirmed working with BSNL FTTH, Airtel Xstream Fibre, Jio Fiber, Railtel, ACT Fibernet, and Excitel.

Setup varies slightly by ISP. Connect the fiber patch cord to the xx530v's PON port and configure the GPON/XPON settings through the web interface or Aginet app. You'll need your ISP's authentication credentials - GPON serial number, PLOAM password, or PPPoE login details depending on the provider. BSNL requires the router's MAC address to be registered by a BSNL technician before it will connect. For Railtel specifically, use a green APC-type fiber patch cord and make sure the RX laser power stays between -15 to -25 dBm for a stable link.

One known issue to watch for: some users on Indian broadband forums have reported download speeds capped at 50 Mbps while uploads run at full speed after replacing their ISP router. The fix is to go to Advanced, then GPON WAN, edit the WAN interface, and disable MAC Clone by selecting "Do not clone MAC Address.
